15 FL Schools Honored Among U.S. Best With 2024 National Blue Ribbons

The U.S. Department of Education recognized 356 schools, with 15 in Florida, in its 2024 National Blue Ribbon Schools program.
FLORIDA — Fifteen Florida schools received top honors for their academic excellence, being held in high esteem by the 2024 National Blue Ribbon Schools program, U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona recently announced.
National Blue Ribbon, implemented more than 40 years ago, awards several hundred public and private schools for their overall high academic performance, according to the federal education department.
This year, 356 schools were recognized, and blue ribbon flags will be handed to the schools for display.
“Achieving this honor means that your schools are raising the bar thanks to your amazing educators and students,” Cardona said. “It means that your school is the pride of your community and the model for schools across the nation.”
Schools nationwide were recognized on this year’s massive list, including 15 from Florida.
The Florida schools are:
- A.D. Henderson University School and Florida Atlantic University High School, Boca Raton
- Bryceville Elementary School, Bryceville
- Coronado Beach Elementary School, New Smyrna Beach
- George Washington Carver Middle School, Coral Gables
- HIVE Preparatory School, Miami
- Jose Marti Mast 6-12 Academy, Hialeh
- NeoCity Academy, Kissimmee
- North Dade Center for Modern Languages, Miami Gardens
- Q.I. Roberts Jr. – Sr. High School, Florahome
- Saint John Paul II Catholic High School, Tallahassee
- St. Michael’s Academy, Fernandina Beach
- Somerset Academy Davie Charter School, Davie
- Stanton College Preparatory, Jacksonville
- True North Classical Academy, Miami
- West Shore Junior/Senior High School, Melbourne
