School Board member Thomas Kennedy to be sworn in as FSBA president

Thomas Kennedy, Citrus County School Board member, will be sworn in as the 2022-23 Florida School Boards Association president on Thursday, June 9, at 11:30 a.m. at the 2022 FSBA/FADSS Annual Summer Conference FSBA Annual General Meeting at the Grand Hyatt in Tampa.
Following swearing-in, Kennedy will share some words before announcing his upcoming year’s committee leadership teams.
Kennedy will be the first School Board member from Citrus County to rise to the level of FSBA president.
The Florida School Boards Association, Inc. (FSBA) is a nonprofit corporation representing the elected school boards in Florida. FSBA has been the collective voice for Florida school districts since 1930. With Florida’s 67 school districts and 358 elected school board members, FSBA is closely allied with other educational and community agencies to work toward improvement of education in Florida.
The mission of FSBA is to increase student achievement through the development of effective school board leadership and advocacy for public education.
